Tabs For Recent Content
I really struggled with a title for this, but here’s a nice little feature that I’ve come across whilst researching some more web hosting. On WebHostingHandbook, they use tabs at the top of the screen to give you easy access to the last couple of sections that you visited.
It’s a handy little feature if you’re comparing products, although it would be good if it could have a few more on there, and then maybe a little button to remove them from them list if you know you don’t want to go back there.
By the way, I’m currently trying to decide whether it’s worth signing up with either Dreamhost or Media Temple. There seem to be a lot of my peers who host on one or the other, and they both have some good hosting options available, but there’s a few comments on the Dreamhost messageboard complaining about some dodgy uptime and slow database access, and the Media Temple review on WebHostingHandbook suggests that their technology is a little behind the times.
Anyone have any experience with either of them or can recommend any other hosts with similar features and at a similar price (between $10/$20 or £10/£20 per month)?

I’ve used the backend of Dreamhost seems to be a lot easier to use than cPanel et al. Dont know about Media Temple, depends what you get for you money.
If you’re in the UK, which you are. A Memset Miniserver is a good option if you need to re-sell space. The site is awful, but the product is great. They use cPanel too.
Thanks guys - I’ve signed up for a Dreamhost account now - so far it seems pretty good, but I guess time will tell.
Nathan - they seem to have some good packages at a reasonable cost. Do you use them? If so, what is the customer service / support like? I’m after another new host for some different sites and I’ll have a bit more money to spend than the £10 - £20 per month I mentioned above.
Dreamhost is a good choice! I have never really had any downtime with them … and they have some cool features to play with in the control panel.
Memset provide ‘great’ service and support, I used them whilst at Mirashade, and now at Nine Four. They get my thumbs up.
