A New Lady In My Life

I have a new lady in my life.

We’ve only known each other for about a month, but I already know that we will enjoy many years together. We’ve been spending more and more time in each others company, and we like nothing more than sitting up to all hours of the night, with her comfortable in my arms.

She doesn’t ask me for much, just a drink and a cuddle now and then, and when she smiles, I know it’s the signal for me to rub her back. We have simple pleasures.

In years to come we may have a few crossed words, but for the moment we are enjoying all the experiences that are new to us - for her, everything is new.

So ladies and gentelemen, please say hello to my daughter, Kate.

    Thanks guys. Nathan - she already has! Noone else has yet been able to get me up at stupid times in the morning, but she’s only 5 weeks old and has managed it! Worth it though.

    For sure, somehow you can forgive them even when they spew warm milk all over you when you just got dressed for a client meeting. hehe!
