Charity Football Match: Part 2
With just under 1 week to go now, things are moving along nicely with regards to the charity football match. A few people will be coming along to support - we may even get some local press along to take a few pictures (Edd’s been mercilessly e-mailing the local rags pimping the event). We also now know what the 2 teams will be:
- Rob Lewis
- Jon Russell
- Joe Blackwell
- Tom Blackwell
- Edd Blackwell (c)
- Nick
- Chris Fieldhouse
- Sam Bradley
- Chris F (from Beatties)
- Dave Snape
- Chris Brickwood
- San Dhillon
- Lee (from Heathcotes)
- Badger
- Oli Meanly
- Turkey (c)
- Joe Foley
- Baldev
- John Loveridge
- Rich (from Beatties)
- Jake Loveridge
- Thommo
- Taz
- Dave Southall
- Greg (from Heathcotes)
- Matty Dunne
- Rich Fieldhouse
Although I don’t know all the players on either side, I think our team may suffer from “over-experience” (i.e. being old). But it will be interesting to see how the brothers Blackwell link up, and how long the rest of us can last before begging to be substituted.

really dont know about u guys but im sooooo nervous about footy cant wait!! so excited hope i can come up with the goods!
Hi Guys
I am trying to arrange a charity footy match for my friends son who has Cerebral Palsy and is in need of expensive treatment to improve his quality of life.
Do you have any pointers for us? Regarding the laws such as Public Liability etc? Setting up a web site etc?
Hope to hear from you.
Thanks
K
Hi KT,
Thanks for stopping by - to be honest, we didn’t really worry to much about things like Public Liability, as it was a group of friends who got together - but it is probably a good idea if you are organising something more official.
It’s certainly a good idea to get in touch with the relevant regisitered charity as they might be able to help you out - we got some t-shirts sent to us by the International Myloma Foundation, and the charity might be able to help you with a website and flyers too.
Hope that helps a little.
Rob.
